Have scraps of leather you would like to use for a fun and quick project? Do you want to try leather for the first time without purchasing huge pieces? This might be the project for you!

This card and coin pouch is the perfect scrap buster. It uses only a few materials, small cuts of leather, and it is really practical (see video tutorial & pattern piece file at the bottom of the page). Here's what you will need:
Materials:
Leather (2-4 oz) with a bit of structure. Cut two pieces:
(1) 4.5"W x 6.75"H
(1) 4.5"W x 2.5"H
Nylon Zipper 5" or longer (will be trimmed to fit)
Other Supplies:
Leather Glue or 1/8" Double-Sided Tape
Thread (type depends on the machine)
Paper for printing two pattern pieces
Leather Sewing Machine Needle
Tools:
Arc-Shaped Punch (Optional) & Mallet
Seam Ripper
Precision Craft Knife (Exacto Knife) & Ruler
Rotary Cutter and Cutting Mat
